Once upon a time.....

...a worship team wanted to present a refreshing new way of looking at God's message. They wanted the experience to be creative, entertaining, enlightening and fun for everyone. They decided to perform...not a song...not a dance...not a mime...but a DRAMA.

They searched high and low for a script that delivered all they aspired to achieve. They came upon a site - created by jana - that piqued their interest. It offered scripts portraying the relationship between God and humanity. Most they found, were easy to perform with simple dialogue and blocking.

"We can do this!" they shouted. They picked a script and haven't looked back since.

What is Created by Jana?An array of dramatic and comedic Christian theater scripts written specifically to introduce, endear and connect people to God - the Almighty One, Yahweh, Lord of Lords, King of Kings. The focus here is on the relationship between God and his creation, humanity.The Bible is the foundation of Jana's work. These are pieces where humanity is revealed in ways that the audience can identify with and will touch the hearts of those who need to hear the message of God's love and presence in a non-judgmental way. The scripts are simple, thought-provoking, full of energy and very seeker-friendly.Churches, actors, directors and individuals will delight in reading and working with her pieces. They are written and formatted as vignettes (short scripts consisting of scenes and monologues). Jana, The WriterIn the beginning, I wasn't one to say 'relationship' and 'God' in the same breath. I didn't know the two could coexist. Eventually I learned that not only can they exist in the same breath, they are actually one and the same. God is not a loner, faraway, tending to His own business, leaving us to fend for ourselves, whilst we chant sayings to stay in His good graces. On the contrary, He created us for community - with Him and each other. He is our loving Father and we are His children. We can liken it to our relationships here in this world, except that with Him we are in communion with the One who loves us in the most purest, most selfless way. He is the only One we can truly trust with our very existence.I started acting in my teens - actually younger, if you count elementary school and neighborhood productions - however, writing didn't come until some time later when a friend offered me a slot on her show and I needed something to keep my creative juices flowing. I soon realized that writing about humanity brought out a lot of quirky dialogue that many of my friends could relate to, often inquiring if I had specifically written with them in mind. I was very amused by this and yet it was honestly never the case.I feel we are more alike and connected in this world - despite ethnicity, race, gender, tax bracket - than we realize. We go through so many of the same struggles, fears, hurts and joys. Life is life. We experience similar situations at varying degrees. I feel to accept one another is to start enjoying life at it's fullest. Jesus Christ - the coolest person to walk the face of this earth - says, in Matthew 29:39, of the all-time bestseller, The Bible, "Love your neighbor as yourself."I hope this website, and my writings, will be frequented by believers and non-believers. There shouldn't be any separation between the two. No matter what our beliefs, we still have to live with one another on this earth and should respect each other's opinions and space. I understand that many have been burned by "religion". I want to share, through creative endeavors, my enthusiasm for God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit because I think they are exquisite beyond comprehension.To listen to one another with a true desire and an open heart can break down walls that were never meant to be put up. I believe everyone needs to be heard by someone who genuinely cares to listen. This not only allows us to learn about each other, this allows us to learn about ourselves.

My FaithI'm not a theologian. Just a simple girl with a heart for God.Who is this God I believe in?*It is the holy, awesome God of the Holy Bible. I believe He is the one and only true God of the universe; the Creator of heaven and earth and humankind. He is all-loving, all-powerful, all-knowing and He is present everywhere. He exists in three person - the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.*I believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. He is our Savior and Messiah; born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, redeemed humankind by dying on the cross on our behalf, bodily resurrection and ascended into heaven where he interceded on behalf of those who trust Him."God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:12)Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)*I believe in the deity of the Holy Spirit. He brings new life to unbelievers. He indwells believers and enables them to live and follow the will of God.But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. (John 16:13)*I believe the Holy Bible is the inerrant, authoritative Word of God.All Scripture is God-breathed.... (2 Timothy 3:16)Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy never had it's origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried by the Holy Spirit. (2 Peter 1:20-21)
